 Message from the Chief

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website on behalf of the officers and staff of the West Fargo Police Department.

Through this website you will gain useful information about the City of West Fargo, its history, current statistics, and also learn about some of the rules and regulations that govern our everyday life.

West Fargo is a tremendous place to both raise a family and work. We are a growing city of nearly 25,830 residents, along with a fast growing retail area. Our community has a wonderful school system with state of the art teaching facilities and excellent staff including two school resource officers. Our parks and recreation include both summer and winter activities which provide numerous opportunities for both youth and adults.

The West Fargo Police Department is involved in many programs to both help protect and educate our residents. Just a few of these programs include:  DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) taught in the 5th grade, SRO's (School Resource Officers) starting in our middle school through high school,  Citizens Police Academy, the McGruff Safe House Program, Police Youth Academy, Crime Free Housing, TRIAD (a senior citizen program) and we sponsor one of our largest community events Night to Unite.

Thanks again for visiting our web site!  Please make West Fargo a stopping point to learn more about our wonderful city and the people who make it The City On The GROW!    I know you will enjoy the people and everything we have to offer, whether you are just visiting or plan to make this your home.
